A special opportunity to meet Marina Boroditskaya – a poet and renowned translator of English, American and French classical poetry, including the first Russian translation of Chaucer\u2019s \u2018Troilus and Criseyde\u2019, Shakespeare, Donne, the Cavalier poets, Burns, Keats and Kipling. Some participants might recognise her from her Radio Russia Literary Pharmacy<\/em> programme – the Russian equivalent of Poetry Please!<\/em> – which stayed on air for 21 years, from 1997 to 2018. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom joining link<\/span><\/p>\n About the speaker<\/strong><\/p>\n Marina Boroditskaya<\/p><\/div>\n Marina Boroditskaya was born in Moscow in 1954 and started regularly publishing in 1978. She has been contributing her poetry to Noviy Mir<\/em> and Arion<\/em> magazines and her translations have been featured regularly in Inostrannaya Literatura<\/em>. The list of her poetry collections includes I Am Undressing a Soldier<\/em> (1994), Single Skating<\/em> (1999), The Year Of The Horse<\/em> (2002), It Should Be Possible<\/em> (2005), Ode To Myopia<\/em> (2009), Cupid On The Windowsill. Love poems<\/em> (2013), Still It Spins<\/em> (2013) and Quiet Games<\/em> (2019).
