Fekla Tolstoy was born in Moscow in 1971. She holds a degree in Slavic Languages from the Moscow State University and trained as a Director at the Russian Theatre Academy. In 1999, she began her career as a journalist, working as a presenter on television and radio, as well as writing for a number of newspapers and magazines. In addition, she has written and produced a number of documentary films, predominantly on culture. Since 2012, Fekla has been working at the Leo Tolstoy State Museum (http:\/\/russianmuseums.info\/M299<\/a> &\u00a0 tolstoymuseum.ru\/<\/a>)\u00a0 in Moscow as the Head of Development, also was the Content Director of the Museum\u2019s main website and of a website dedicated to Leo Tolstoy\u2019s life and works tolstoy.ru<\/a>. She was also the creator and producer of a number of projects relating to the digitalisation of culture, including Tolstoy in one Click <\/em>(2013), Karenina: Live Edition <\/em>(2014) and War and Peace: Big Read Marathon <\/em>(2015).<\/em><\/p>\n
