(01223) 336540<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition combines contemporary photographs of this vibrant area of Russia&#8217;s Far East with historical documents that reveal aspects of the region&#8217;s Communist past, ranging from the enthusiasm of the Young Pioneers to the brutality of the Soviet Gulag.<\/p>\n<p>It also includes a range of historical artefacts from the Russian north that have been collected by Professor Lawrence H.
