The Museum of Forgotten Taste “Kolomna Apples”<\/em><\/strong> is a private initiative of two Kolomna “apple ladies”: Natalia Nikitina and Elena Dmitrieva. The museum was open in 2009 in the old Russian town of Kolomna, 100 kilometres south of Moscow. The creation of the museum was inspired by the idea of reviving the forgotten taste of traditional Kolomna apple sweets. The museum soon became the town’s main attraction and since its opening has been developing many creative ideas to present a unique aspect of Russian style and taste in the world.
