\nDescription: <\/strong>Despite extreme weather conditions, most unusual for this time of the year, CamRuSS didn’t give in, and bravely held its traditional “mayovka”, a fresh-air festivity and a boisterous barbecue in Wandlebury Park.<\/p>\n

It proved a delightful and tasty day out for the most adventurous and the hardiest of us, who were not put off by the near-Siberian cold, came along, lit up the fire, sizzled the sausages, and huddled closely together, in order to keep warm… The huddling worked – the participants claimed they got to know each other so much better, as they were so close in space!<\/p>\n

DIRECTIONS:<\/strong> Wandlebury Country Park is signposted with brown Country Park signs off the A1307 Cambridge to Haverhill Road, 2.5 miles south of the Addenbrooke’s Hospital roundabout.<\/p>\n

PARKING: <\/strong>Visitors’ car park at the Main Entrance off the A1307. Parking charge: \u00a32.50 per car.<\/p>\n

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:<\/strong> The Addenbrookes to Haverhill buses are Stagecoach CityPlus X13 and X13A. <\/strong><\/p>\n

CYCLING TO WANDLEBURY: <\/strong>There is a separate, safe, cycle path alongside the A1307 Hills Road, leaving Cambridge, from Addenbrookes Hospital past the Babraham Park & Ride to Wandlebury where it ends. There is no cycle path from Haverhill to Wandlebury.<\/p>\n

NB <\/strong>No cycling in the park is allowed, except for under 8s, and cycles should be secured in the parking area cycle stands.<\/p>\n

DOGS:<\/strong> need to be kept on a lead in the Park, but can be freely exercised in the adjacent Gog Magog Trust area.<\/p>\n
