His works have already become real classics. Igor Irteniev was the first in modern-day Russia to have revived the genre of short satirical stories in verse (\u043f\u043e\u044d\u0442\u0438\u0447\u0435\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u0444\u0435\u043b\u044c\u0435\u0442\u043e\u043d). He is also a columnist at &#8220;Gazeta.Ru&#8221;, has written song lyrics for a number of theatre productions, and some of you may fondly remember his character &#8220;Poet-Pravdorub&#8221; in Viktor Shenderovich&#8217;s sharp political satire &#8220;Itogo&#8221; (&#8220;\u0418\u0442\u043e\u0433\u043e&#8221;) on Russian TV in the 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>More about Igor Irteniev&#8217;s unique poetic style: <a href=\"&lt;http:\/\/camruss.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=588ab11fb5d5caedbfb093925 &amp;id=46fc809d25&amp;e=2678ba081b&gt;\">&#8220;Igor Irteniev, a poet and a citizen&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Alla Bossart\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gazeta.ru\/newimages\/k_bossart.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"102\" height=\"100\" \/>Alla Bossart<\/strong> is an acclaimed Russian journalist, essayist, writer, and poet. She has worked in the leading <em>democratic <\/em>periodicals linked to Russia&#8217;s <em>perestroika<\/em>. Alla Bossart was one of the founders of the <em>only existing<\/em> opposition newspaper in Moscow, &#8220;Novaya gazeta&#8221;. She is the author of five books of fiction; her novels and collections of stories have been nominated for the Russian Booker Prize and other prestigious awards. Alla Bossart is represented in the anthology &#8220;Russian Love Stories: from Leo Tolstoy and Ivan Bunin, to our times&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>In the course of the evening, Igor Irteniev recited his brilliantly funny, laconic and expressive poems, and Alla Bossart, who is generally better known as a journalist, pleasantly surprised the audience with her reflexive and original poems and short stories, from a recently published collection &#8220;Ravings of Love&#8221;.
