{"id":4989,"date":"2015-05-05T10:56:05","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T10:56:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.camruss.com\/?page_id=4989"},"modified":"2015-05-05T11:00:24","modified_gmt":"2015-05-05T11:00:24","slug":"head-of-studies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/head-of-studies\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Studies (\u0417\u0430\u0432\u0443\u0447) &#8211; Vacancy at Cambridge Russian School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><em>5th May 2015<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Head of Studies (<\/strong><strong>\u0417\u0430\u0432\u0443\u0447<\/strong><strong>) \u2013 3 year contract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position involves coordination of school teaching process and ensuring that all educational services are provided in an efficient and effective manner for all the parties involved: students, parent and teachers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Developing the school curriculum, promoting professionalism and innovation<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with Deputy Head of Studies, evaluating the work of other teachers<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of teaching process which includes:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Arranging and producing a timetable<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining professional development of teaching staff by participating in conferences, training sessions and subject meetings<\/li>\n<li>Recruiting and interviewing candidates for teaching position<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with parents\u2019 and students\u2019 enquiries and complaints<\/li>\n<li>Allocation of pupils to classes<\/li>\n<li>Organising regular meetings with teaching personnel and leading them ( once a term)<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the quality of teaching services, e.g. lessons observation, review of teaching plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Representing Russian School at different events, conferences and meetings<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the Deputy Head of Studies, Administrator, Admission officer and Treasurer to ensure an effective and efficient work of the Russian School.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the Deputy Head of Studies in the performance of any other of her\/his tasks Advising Trustees and administration on compliance requirements for the organisations working with children and maintaining appropriate internal policy documents<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with Trustees\u2019 Committee in ensuring adhering to school mission and strategy and planning of further improvement and development<\/li>\n<li>Preparing termly reports to the Trustees and annual report to the AGM to include review of the operations and outline and status of the future plans<\/li>\n<li>Attending Trustees meetings when required to report and answer any questions<\/li>\n<li>Submitting academic timetable for the next term for the Trustees\u2019 approval<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Skills Required <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MS Word; Excel; email<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills (Russian and English);<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on own initiative<\/li>\n<li>Ability to stay calm under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build relationship with colleagues, students and parents;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of teaching Russian to bilingual children<\/li>\n<li>Experience of work in a UK school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Working hours: Saturdays (during term time) 12.00 \u2013 17.00, during the week from home &#8211; 10 -15 hours ( or as required)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>5th May 2015 Head of Studies (\u0417\u0430\u0432\u0443\u0447) \u2013 3 year contract This position involves coordination of school teaching process and ensuring that all educational services are provided in an efficient and effective manner for all the parties involved: students, parent &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/head-of-studies\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4989","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/4989","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4989"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/4989\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/camruss.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4989"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
