\"\"The Cambridge Russian-Speaking Society (CamRuSS) is proud to announce an
\ninternational Open Call for Artists<\/strong> titled Impressions of Cambridge<\/em>. <\/strong><\/span>We are
\nseeking unique artistic interpretations that capture the city\u2019s distinctive “vibe”\u2014from
\nits historic atmosphere and people to your favourite spots and hidden corners.
\nThis project aims to celebrate Cambridge through the eyes of our global community,
\nculminating in a limited-edition commemorative notebook and a group
\nexhibition.<\/p>\n

Who Can Participate?<\/strong>
\nInternational Reach:<\/strong> This is an International Open Call. Participants are not required
\nto live in Cambridge; we welcome impressions of the city from artists located anywhere in
\nthe world.
\nAge Requirement:<\/strong> All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.<\/strong>
\nMembership:<\/strong> Participation is exclusive to members of CamRuSS. If you are not yet a
\nmember, you can join our society for an annual fee of \u00a320 via this link<\/strong><\/a>, which grants
\nyou access to this call and other member benefits.<\/p>\n

Submission Details<\/strong>
\nNumber of Entries:<\/strong> Each artist may submit between 1 and 3 original artworks for
\nconsideration.
\nMedium:<\/strong> We are looking for graphic materials only (e.g., pencil, graphite, charcoal, ink,
\nor hand-printing techniques).
\nTechnical Note:<\/strong> All submissions must be suitable for black-and-white printing and
\nprovided as high-resolution digital files at 300 dpi<\/strong>.
\nSafety Margins: All essential elements must stay within a 10 mm margin<\/strong> from the edges (12\u201315 mm on the side).
\nHow to Send:<\/strong> Images must be sent via email.
\nTitling Requirement:<\/strong> Every image submission must include a title that reflects the
\nname of a specific part of the city (e.g., a specific street, landmark, or neighbourhood)<\/p>\n

Why Enter?<\/strong>
\nSelected artists will have their work published in 200 copies of a high-quality
\nCamRuSS notebook and featured in a group exhibition and presentation.<\/p>\n

Key Deadlines:<\/strong>
\nStep 1. Expression of Interest (Short Bio):<\/strong> By 31 May 2026 via this form<\/strong><\/a>
\nStep 2. Final Artwork Submission:<\/strong> By 31 July 2026. Submit digital files of
\nyour artworks in accordance with the technical specs below via email: camrussart@gmail.com<\/a>
\nAnnouncement of Results:<\/strong> 15 September 2026<\/p>\n

Rewards and Announcement:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Results will be posted on the CamRuSS website by 15 September 2026.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Benefits: Selected works will be published in a limited-edition CamRuSS notebook<\/strong> (200 copies), and the artist will participate in a group exhibition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intellectual Property (IP), Licensing, and Attribution<\/strong>
\nJoint Rights:<\/strong> Intellectual Property Rights in the submitted artwork are held jointly by the artist and the Cambridge Russian-Speaking Society (CamRuSS).<\/strong>
\nUsage and Licensing:<\/strong> By entering this open call, the artist grants CamRuSS a non-exclusive, perpetual, and irrevocable<\/strong> license<\/strong> to use and reproduce images of the artwork.
\nPromotional Scope:<\/strong> This license specifically includes the right for CamRuSS to use the images in its marketing materials, to produce the limited-edition notebooks, and to create other souvenirs or promotional products.<\/strong>
\nAuthor Credit:<\/strong> In all instances in which the artwork is published or displayed, CamRuSS
\ncommits to prominently identifying and crediting the author (the artist)<\/strong> to ensure proper
\nattribution.
\nEditorial Control:<\/strong> The final appearance of the notebook<\/strong>, including its physical size and the placement and positioning of images<\/strong> within the pages, is at the sole discretion of the Editor<\/strong> and cannot be discussed or negotiated with participating artists.
\nSurvival of Terms:<\/strong> These provisions regarding IP, licensing, and editorial control shall remain in effect following the conclusion of the competition<\/strong> and any related exhibitions.<\/p>\n
